Alice in the Tenderloin
This Collection is part of a fashion collaboration I did in my last year at the Academy of Art University. The collection is inspired by a mix of the fantastical world of Alice in Wonderland and the urban, gritty, and industrial style of San Francisco's Tenderloin district.
The collection uses shapes mostly inspired by well-known and recognizable Alice in Wonderland imagery, while using materials that are more industrial in purpose. Keys, keyholes, pills, teacups, and cheshire cat grins are all covered in a rubbery tool dip, made for the jaws and handles of many handheld tools. The chains are made for industrial use and spray painted to look like brass and copper.
